Description

The property is built in the heart of Bucharest, only a few minutes away from Romana Square and Victoriei Square, on one of the adjacent streets of Calea Victoriei, benefiting from easy access to all points of interest of the city.

The property has in its vicinity several public institutions, museums, high schools, schools, restaurants and cafes.

Brief history:

The building was built at the end of the XIXth century by a French architect, being a special building, with exceptional architecture, in Baroque style (curved lines, rich decoration, intensity and direct message).

The house was built in one of the most representative areas of the capital, Amzei Square, an area established in 1841 between Calea Victoriei and Magheru Boulevard, initially called the Small Square. Around the Amza Church, some of the most powerful families of the time had their residence, from Marghiloman to Kretulescu, from Arion to Chrissoveloni.

Here is located the villa Radu Arion, descendant of an old family of boyars - the son of senator Scarlat Arion and diplomat who defied the government in Bucharest in 1945 refusing to return to Romania under the regime imposed by Soviet forces. The house in Bucharest belonged to Senator Scarlat C.Arion, who received a dowry from his wife Ecaterina Christopoulos, the fourth generation after Athanasios Christopoulos, a well-known poet of the Greeks.

Over the years, the prestigious residence of another time changed several owners, reaching in 1990 in the portfolio of a commercial company, which started the consolidation, restoration, extension and modernization works between 1993 and 1995.
