Legendary property for sale - Mociornita Palace - Predeal, Brasov county

Born on August 5, 1885 in a family of peasants from Ţintea locality in Prahova county, Dumitru Mociorniță, had a path worthy of the script of a classic Hollywood movie. The businessman planned his business according to the patterns of the great concerns he had studied in his youth. 

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY: 

One of the first investments made by Mociorniță was in a field in Predeal and in shares within the Cooperative Society of Predeal, where he was elected a member of the board of directors. He was the one who took care of the drilling works for the drinking water sources in Predeal ( the Mociorniţa spring in front of the Railway Station ), laying the foundations of the project for the sewerage of the locality, but also other investments on Valea Râşnoavei. The great industrialist had a remarkable contribution in the construction of the Bucur Maternity, maintenance of the Clinical Hospital of dermato-venerology „ Scarlat Longhin “ or the donation offered for the first institution for tuberculosis in Bucharest – Institute of Pneumoftiziology „ Marius Nasta “.

After finishing the works for the drinking water and sewerage sources in Predeal, Dumitru Mociornita built a holiday home here, originally called „ Villa Margareta ”. 

Today it is known as Villa Mociornita and can be seen right in the center of the resort.

After nationalization, Predeal City Hall operated here. 

Renovated in 2007, it regained its beauty and style in the 1930s, when it was built. The villa was renovated in order to become a protocol house.
