Description

The impressive palace is situated in the residential area between the main roads, Calea Victoriei, Stirbei Voda Street and Calea Grivitei, having in the vicinity the Palace Hall and St. Joseph's Cathedral.

In general, in the area the houses are aligned to the street, being located in the plots where the vegetation still predominates.

Many of these buildings, due to their historical value and due to their special architectural values, are on the list of historical monuments.

Built by the Samsong and Albert Farchy family in an area full of history, on a plot of land purchased from General Alexandru Budisteanu, the neoclassical building dates from the early twentieth century.

The parquet in the hall and in the living rooms on the ground floor is drawn in oak and maple checkered and is arranged diagonally. It takes place in all the main rooms, constituting a significant element for the interior decoration and achieving a beautiful continuity of the interior space. On the right, rooms 3 and 4, have ceilings decorated in the weather architecture style that requires restoration work and research in order to discover traces of painting.

Body A1 is representative.

Around a central hall were arranged the lounges and the living room. Diametrically opposite the entrance, the hallway connects with the A2 body that was intended for housing.

The large rooms have ceilings and walls with rich decorations, skylights with stained glass, mirrors, stucco, according to the taste of the weather. In these halls there were receptions, concerts, dinners - being a space designed to receive high guests.

The access into the palace is made through the garden and is underlined in the architecture of the building both by details and by height. The access door is made of solid oak with bevelled crystal windows of the highest quality.

The vestibule is richly ornamented, being made of precious materials, marble, stone, stucco. The staircase occupies a central position, being richly decorated, finished in stone with decorations on the floor of black Moneasa marble and white and pink Ruschita.
